Red Otis:
16.1 hand Chestnut Thoroughbred gelding. School Barn Head Honcho.
Old enough to vote and drink, Red Otis has been around to see
to the start of a majority of our taller riders. As the longest
resident in the school barn he has seen to the essential basics
on the flat and over fences of so many of our riders. He excelled
in eventing before being bought for one of our former students
who then rode him to numerous wins in the Hunter and Jumper divisions
for years before she left for college. He then semi-retired to
become one of our flagship school horses. His solid dressage background
has helped many riders begin their riding careers on the right
foot. Kind and patient, with a good sense of humor, Red Otis is
a barn favorite! |

Onyx:
Black Medium Pony. Could possibly get his Driver’s License
Onyx’s specialty is the straight line… turns not included.
Since becoming a MWS pony in 2005, Onyx has quickly established
himself as the “Go To Guy” for kids just graduating
off of the lunge line and riding all by themselves. His aversion
to circles and preference for short spurts of movement have helped
riders establish themselves in all gaits. He is not only King
of the Summer Camp, but also an ideal First Lease Pony AND First
Horse Show Pony. He loves the applause and has no trouble handling
the nerves of first time competitors.

Jonathan:
8 year old, Small POA (Pony of the Americas), Heart Stealing Pony.
Jonathan came to us as a 3 year old with the same wonderful temperament
he has today. Our older students spent a few years getting him
going under saddle and over fences. He has since grown into his
place in the lessons program and is often leased out. He
also does Summer Camp, loves braids and sparkles and getting ribbons
in our schooling shows!

Comet:
Adorable 10 year old bay Medium Pony. Hackney/ Welsh cross.
One of our more advanced ponies, Comet is rarely used as a lesson
pony as he is almost always leased out. He is a jumping machine
and has taught many riders how to jump and course. He gives them
the confidence to start competing over fences and has MANY championships
to show for it.

Belle:
Truly cute 11 year old Medium Pony Mare.
The most adorable pony ever! Belle likes sparkles, primping and
teaching kids to ride. Her talents range from first lunge line
lessons to more experienced jumping. She is quiet enough for the
Walk/Trot both on and off of the lunge line and later on she jumps
a great fence! She is simply way too cute and we LOVE her.

Chief:
12 year old Palamino Medium POA gelding
This very versatile pony does it all- leasing, lessons, camps
and shows! Placid, sweet and good to the jumps, he is a winner
in many ways. He was Champion this year with his rider in the
Pony Division!

Sterling: 10
year old QH/Andalusion Gelding. White (when bathed)
Sterling is striking! As a new member of our school horse fleet,
he is great for kids and adults alike who have had some experience
and would like a bit more of a challenge. His talents range from
beginner lessons to coursing to mane braiding- he has great hair!

Archie: 4
years old and still growing! Black & White Paint Pony with
2 Blue Eyes.
This is a very special pony indeed. Adorable since day one, Archie
has become both a lease and lesson pony, and has even started
showing and helping in camps. He has just started working on his
jumping and is showing great promise. You would never think he
was so young!

 |
Cosmo:
6 year old, Medium Leopard Appaloosa Pony (335 spots)
Cosmo has not yet joined the school program because he is a bit
too green. However, he is showing great promise in his work with
the older students. We sometimes have so many useful ponies that
some wait in the wings as our second string.

 |
Amelia:
16 year old Small Grey Pony Mare.
As the newest member of our school horse fleet, Amelia is being
ridden mostly by our more advanced students. She is also being
partially leased. She is adapting great to everything we ask of
her and hasn't really put a foot wrong since we got her. She will
be a wonderful addition to the program.

 |
Ariel:
19 year old 16.1 hand Chestnut Selle Francais Gelding.
Ariel is a full lease horse for riders who are looking to excel
at horse shows. He has done it all and won it all too! This is
a rated show caliber horse who is great for those ready to put
their toes in the big show rings.

|
Dresden: 12
year old Fleabitten Grey Thoroughbred Gelding.
Dresden is another horse who is only for leasing. He has done
jumpers and eventing. As he is very kind and patient, he is a
great teacher for our more advanced students.

Captain: 16.1
hands, black thoroughbred gelding. Captain had a very successful
career as an amateur Hunter before we got him. He is 18 yrs young
and we are very fortunate to get to lease him for our lesson program.
He is one of our newest horses, and already he is a barn favorite
with two Jr riders sharing him! |

Skyler:
14 year old Bay Thoroughbred Gelding.
Skyler has had a long career in both hunters and jumpers before
semi-retiring to join our team. As both a lease and school horse,
he is one of our more popular horses to ride. |

Zach: 15.3
hands, 16 yrs old Flea-bitten grey gelding. He was rescued from
a kill pen by a very nice lady in Petaluma and given a chance to
recover. We find him completely charming with great manners and
a fabulous work ethic. He's the kind of horse that will have a long
career in our program and already, he is leased and loved by two
young girls. This is such a happy ending for everyone. |

Snoopy: 17
hands, 5yrs old, chesnut TB gelding. We aren't very sure where Snoopy
fits in our program, but we had to have him! He is so cute, so pleasant
and so easy going that he is completely worth the time it will take
to develop him to his potential. Hopefully, by this summer some
of our intermediate riders will be riding him to ribbons in the
schooling shows!! |
